Found footage

We really liked this found footage of two roses burning. As this helped to express that there will be an ending/death scene.  Also the use of the red and white roses, we felt could be symbolic of the romantic feeling involved, the blood that was on the girlfriends hands, the danger the boyfriend was in. The white rose we felt was symbolic of the innocence of the boyfriend who was going to die and the purity of the relationship in his eyes.  

Due to us not being able to film this for safety reasons. We decided to use found footage.

Plan of shots:

- Model looking down with hand on hat, this is to give a mysterious out look. I got this from Susan de Witt's art work of a woman holding a hat and a flower. 

- Models face hidden by hat. This is due to the powerful look it portrays, thus emphasising the fact that her music has a powerful message. 

- Looking to the side, as she is looking at something important. 

- Another side shot but from behind the model, to get a shot of her face and the contrast of the lipstick. 

Update

We made a slight edit to the story line, as rather than have Zebie and i know each other, But I brush past her aggressively. We wanted to make it foreshadow the fact that I will be an aggressive character.  Also the fact that the two characters don't know each other will help the audience get an idea that Jaden is cheating. When they are just really good friends supporting each other. This scene will need to be filmed either getting on a bus, walking into a shop or just walking down the street to show that it doesn't matter who it is I have an aggressive nature, that I release on to Jaden. We also decided that Zebie should wear the same clothes she will meet Jaden in, as this will add to the thought of them being together.

Blogger update

With the use of the preview of the music video i added it to the website so that it is relevant and kept up to date.

• When filming I found it difficult to show emotion in my face when acting as the girlfriend, being angry and cleaning the knife. As i had to show anger and pain. To improve this we decided to watch a scene form a movie that gets to me due to the pain the the family suffer. This then came across in my face. 

• We really liked the scene when the water falls and you can see the knife being cleaned. As the angle and lighting really brought the scene alive. Also the fact that the background is blurred brings the viewers attention to the knife its self and the frustration of cleaning the knife. 

• The scene of Jaden being upset and drinking was also a good scene we thought as we got the shadow of Jaden the flower and the candle. We decided on using a candle to be symbolic of the last breathe of love in the relationship as there as only one candle lit. Also we placed tablets in the back of the shot to be a refection of the unnatural behaviour and pain being caused. We also did a bit of product placement as we used the bottle Captain Morgan white rum. As most music videos highlight particular brands in their music videos.

Website tester

Over the last couple of weeks I have been working on the website for the artist Electra. Due to not having completed the music video not all the information or designs have been completed or decided on. Here is a small preview of the website in use so far:

Points to work on:

1. On this page, i feel like it needs more flavour and artistic flare as it doesn't seem as eye catching for an update page. 

2. This page is a bit too simple and needs more i think to fill the page.  

3. This picture i think doesn't draw enough attention for a welcome page. I think that we should take some model like shots for this welcome page picture.
